San Marcello’s village
Cerasus B&B is located in San Marcello, a Marche’s hamlet which dates back to the period around the year 1000.
In a document of the year 1029 is written about a territory without walls that after ups and downs and changes of ownership, following the defeat of Federico Barbarossa, came back to being part of Jesi’s territory in 1197. Its country history began in 1234, when a group of citizens from Jesi obtained the permission from their mayor to move with their families and their movable property in "Monti Sancti Marcelli", to settle down and to defend the land received as a gift against anyone.
San Marcello is in the territory of the production of a wine called “Lacrima di Morro D’Alba” and the production of “Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi”.
